Under general supervision of the Business Intelligence manager, the incumbent serves as a member of the OIT Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse (BI/DWH) team, participating in the design, development, deployment, documentation, ongoing maintenance and support of a significant enterprise data warehousing and decision support effort. The developed system will be the centerpiece of the campus reporting and analytics strategy, facilitating decision making at all levels. The incumbent works in close collaboration with other members of the BI/DWH team, other teams within OIT, and functional and project offices throughout the campus.The incumbent serves as the primary administrator of the campus Cognos Business Intelligence (BI) environment. Duties include planning, installation, configuration, upgrading, maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting and documenting the Cognos BI technologies, including related technologies such as Motio CI. The incumbent works closely with other OIT teams administering related technologies, including the Windows Services Group, DBA Team, Middleware Team, and Security Team.The incumbent also develops Cognos BI content as needed, including framework models, reports dashboards and cubes; and serves in support and consultation role to constituents in OIT and throughout the campus who are developing BI content.The University of California, Irvine is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer advancing inclusive excellence.
