As a member of the Office of Information Technology (OIT), provides ongoing operational support, database development and technical support for the Office of Institutional Research (OIR). The incumbent will be responsible for all database related activities, ETL development and processing, and data quality assurance and remediation. The incumbent serves as technical expert in complex support tasks for OIR functional staff.The incumbent also participates in the development and ongoing maintenance of a campus-wide business intelligence and decision support effort, focusing on the Student Data Warehouse and integration of legacy student data with the new Student Information System (SIS), and the integration of legacy payroll data with the new UCPath project. The incumbent works in close collaboration with the Office of Institutional Research, the OIT Business Intelligence/Decision Support team, the OIT Data Warehouse team, the SIS team, UCPath team, Enrollment Services, Graduate Division, and Division of Undergraduate Education.The incumbent also participates in the development and ongoing maintenance of data integration solutions, including Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) solutions, focusing on integrating data with campus data marts, data warehouses and operational data stores. The incumbent works in close collaboration with the OIT Business Intelligence/Decision Support team, the OIT Data Warehouse team, and the OIT Middleware team.The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is responsible for supporting the IT needs of UC Irvine faculty, students, and staff, providing information technology leadership, services, and innovative solutions to promote the research, education and community service goals of the University. The Office of Institutional Research (OIR) performs research, analysis, and reporting that supports ongoing campus strategic planning.
