Under the general direction of the Associate Director of Business Intelligence, integrate business intelligence technology with traditional institutional research responsibilities as part of the Institutional Research and Decision Support team; implement and expand the office's business intelligence initiatives; ensure data quality and maintain data dictionary; develop reports, analyses, and dashboards that support decision making and planning.
Typically a Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems or related quantitative field or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
Minimum three years experience in developing reports, dashboards, data visualizations and scorecards using business intelligence and visualization software such as SAP Business Objects, Oracle BI Enterprise Edition, Tableau or Qlik. Experience with BusinessObjects and Tableau a plus.
Minimum three years experience with databases or information systems in progressively responsible positions. Experience with SQL a plus.
Experience working in a university setting preferred. Knowledge and understanding of key concepts in higher education highly desired.
Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral) evidenced by background in preparing comprehensive reports and executive summaries incorporating complex, highly technical information.
