Posting Summary: The University of Virginia is looking for a Senior Database and Application Manager in Charlottesville Virginia. The incumbent is responsible for analyzing, defining, implementing, and supporting system database and application infrastructures for a wide variety of Enterprise Applications supported systems including the Integrated System, Identity and Access Management, University Business Intelligence, UFirst staging databases, Data Warehouse environments and others as assigned. The incumbent will work with other System Database Administrators, Application Database Administrators, Developers, Technical Integration Staff, System Administrators, other members of Information and Technology Services Enterprise Applications and ITS Leadership to skillfully administer and maintain database infrastructure components, manage data storage, manage backup and recovery, tune, secure and maintain the integrity of Oracle Enterprise Business Suite environments, Fisher Identity and Access Management database environments, UFirst/Workday staging database environments, University Business Intelligence environments and others as assigned. The incumbent will write technical system documentation, lead peers in the research and resolution of complex problems, research and recommend technologies, perform testing and provide supporting documentation. Additionally, the incumbent will serve as a technical leader and advisor to peers and leadership within the department.
Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field At least 5 years experience in maintaining Oracle database and ERP systems Be able to provide technical leadership to project teams, providing design and implementation standards to team members.
Prior experience doing technical analysis with ERP systems
