The ERP Developer II is a member of the Ohio University Business Systems team. This is a junior-level position that works under general supervision in the ERP and closely associated business applications, in support of HR, Payroll, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Grants Accounting, and Fixed Assets processes. Duties include:
1. Participates in the customization, maintenance, and support of the ERP system, closely associated business applications, and the corresponding data stores. Designs and documents moderately complex system configurations, scheduled tasks, customizations, extensions, integrations, etc. Performs ERP development requiring an advanced knowledge of business processes, source data, SQL and other data manipulation languages, and ERP development tools. 2. Possesses techno-functional knowledge and skills in the ERP and integrated third party systems in order to provide technical input during business requirements gathering and fit gap analyses processes. Documents, analyzes, and provides effort estimates for work deliverables. 3. Leverages an understanding of ERP delivered features and customizations to provide production support to the user community. Participates in the analysis, design, and execution of business functions. Assists in troubleshooting moderately complex issues within the ERP system. 4. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
2 years work experience in enterprise business application development (ERP systems, CRM systems, e-commerce applications, business intelligence applications, etc.).
2 years work experience in relational database development.
Experience in linux shell scripting.
Experience with source control software.
Demonstrated ability to understand complex business processes.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
2-4 years work experience in Oracle E-Business Suite development.
Experience in Oracle Application Express (APEX) and Oracle Application Framework (OA Framework).
2-4 years work experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
2-4 years work experience in linux shell scripting.
Working knowledge of common HR and/or financial business processes.
Experience working in a higher education environment.
