Business Intelligence Manager Exemption: Exempt Schedule: Full-time Note: Not all unique aspects of the job are covered by this job description JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for performing difficult or complex analysis, design and programming involving multi-project leadership and broad responsibility in support of new and existing Business Intelligence(BI) and other projects. CORE DUTIES*:
Lead organization-wide complex data integration and business intelligence initiatives; ensure initiatives directly support the organizational mission and are delivered on schedule.
Collaborate closely with the BI Analytics Director on overall BI architecture, roadmap and implementation.
50% of the time to spend on hands-on EDW/BI development using Sql, PL/Sql, Python, Java, ETL (Informatica) and Reporting tools - OBIEE, Incorta etc., Need to have expertise in sourcing data from SaaS applications like SalesForce, Event Management, Marketing, Oracle ERP and CRM data. Need to learn and work on new BI technologies as Stanford expands its footprint. Another 50% of the time in managing Projects/Production Support.
Supervise/Lead professional staff, as assigned and use resources at best level for support and Projects.
Overall solution architect and responsible as SME and Technical lead for on-going support and projects as assigned.
Perform data integrity and ETL code utilizing structured programming techniques and tools; provide thorough internal documentation. Coordinate code promotion, code turnover to operations, version control, and QA procedures.
Coordinate the development and enrichment of enterprise data warehouse assuring reporting system development builds upon the existing data foundation. Ensure understanding of technical strategies and vision among project participants.
Convey problems, solutions, updates and project status to peers, and management.
As a production support lead, responsible for overall health of the BI/EDW application, Data quality, Data integrity, Data consistency, Data security, ETL scheduling, programming, Reports, Dashboards, Ad-hoc User environment and Performance.
Manage and responsible for EDW Operations, maintaining SLA's and metrics. Work closely with business partners on their on-going issues/requirements, help in prioritizing and fulfil on-time.
Plan, mentor, coordinate, monitor and review the work of other staff during all phases of a project and as part of Production support..
Monitor emerging BI technologies and provide recommendations to senior management with new and innovative ways of BI implementation that helps business community.

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and nine years of relevant experience in computer science, or engineering or a combination of education and relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong written and oral communication skills; proven presentation experience and comfort with senior management audiences and effective facilitation skills with diverse groups.
Strong BI solution architectural, design, data modeling and implementation skills.
Expertise in software engineering principles and skills working on Unix/Linux/Windows Operating systems, Version Control and Office software.
Mastery in Business Intelligence and Data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
Expert in Data Modeling and designing data warehouse from heterogeneous OLTP sources - Structures, Unstructured data through Web services, DB connectivity or any other mode.
Should have experience working in cloud, local storage and combo environments.
Ability to prioritize tasks and get the work done on schedule.
Demonstrate hands-on Analytical and development skills in Salesforce or any SaaS applications, Oracle ERP, ETL and Reporting tools.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to resolve Project OR Production issues with right OR alternate solutions with minimum impact to the user community.
In depth understanding on all Business Intelligence tools, by exploring next generation BI methodologies. Suggest productive next generation BI methodologies to Management for implementation.
Ability to lead, mentor, motivate and supervise technical staff.
Project management skills and ability to understand and apply the software development lifecycle.
Expert with the business processes and information and data used to build the Business Intelligence systems. Complete control on the technical solution and implementation.
Skilled in Multi-technologies in Business Intelligence and should be able to contribute to all phases of project. Expert in data architecture, data modeling, design and implementation.
Must be able to work and experienced in working in Agile/Scrum BI Project Model.
Working knowledge and experience in BigData, CRM, Marketing, Event Management, Oracle Financials (ERP) expertise is a plus.
