Supports Residential and Hospitality Services Business and Financial Services area including insuring and/or auditing compliance to university business policies for both work unit and supported department units; completing accounting activities; performing transactions in the university’s financial system; accessing data in the university’s and division’s business intelligence systems to analyze, interpret and summarize for projects, reports, and meetings; performing tasks needed to coordinate the operational and logistical activities of the unit; assessing needs and managing the requisitioning of supplies, equipment, and services for the unit; creating and reviewing unit and department business process and procedures; training supported units on process and procedures; serving as a team or group lead for organizational initiatives and projects; performing other duties in order to ensure work completion.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in a business-related field or in a field which corresponds to the particular department of employment; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in office procedures, or in performing responsibilities related to the operational activities of the employing unit; experience with word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation software and/or desktop publishing, web page software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Accounting and budgeting skills; process analysis and design; business and financial data analysis and reporting; organizational skills to manage, coordinate, and prioritize multiple tasks and projects while maintaining daily activities and appropriately responding to matters of urgency; Problem solving skills; Kuali Financial, SAP, Cognos and Business Intelligence systems experience; Vision and advanced Excel skills.
8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, occasional weekends for business related to divisional and university events
