The Senior Financial Analyst ensures an environment of effective decision making, forecasting, and sound business planning, relating to dashboard reporting, financial analysis, budgeting and decision support. Establishes effective monitoring processes to manage the ongoing operations of Centura Health Physician Group and its locations. Works closely with CHPG and hospital leadership to identify areas to improve operational efficiency and works with CHPG management team to make recommendations and implement strategies that improve financial performance. Maintains a high level of understanding around practice operations and the unique differences of each specialty within assigned region(s). Builds supportive relationships with practice Administrators and serves as point person for performance reporting and finance related initiatives.
Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field required.
Minimum Experience Requirements
Three years of experience in the healthcare industry in a finance related role required.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
VBA experience preferred.
Experience with Epic, Lawson, Epsi, Access, and business intelligence tools preferred but not required.
Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )
Manages finance focused activities for all practices within assigned region(s) in collaboration with CHPG finance leadership.
Performs monthly general ledger activity scrubs and financial statement review and initiates actions that support the timely and accurate recognition of revenues and expenses within the appropriate practice.
Identifies areas that require deep dive analysis to contribute to the achievement of strategic and operational initiatives.
Routinely provides back to budget variance analysis in collaboration with Practice Administrators and CHPG finance leadership.
Contributes to the annual budgeting process by providing, analyzing and reviewing relevant information.
Supports proforma development through the collection of relevant data and facts in concert with CHPG finance leadership and Practice Administrators.
Provides oversite to the Financial Analysts’ administration of provider compensation and productivity reconciliations in adherence with the terms of the providers’ individual contract and compensation policies.
Orchestrates initiatives that foster supportive relationships with Practice Administrators, and Hospital leadership and involves subject matter experts as needed.
Works with Financial Analysts and CHPG leadership to develop effective and informative reporting mechanisms such as dashboards, various financial analysis and ad hoc reporting
Contributes to the successful start-up of new business by maintaining an awareness of activities and ensuring the implementation of sound financial reporting results.
Demonstrates an awareness of operational activities affecting practices’ financial performance.
Interprets trends in financial metrics and is able to articulate results in a meaningful format.
Serves as an ambassador for effective and timely CHPG communications.
