Job Summary/Purpose: The Junior Planning Analyst reports to the Director of Strategic Planning. Under indirect supervision, the Junior Planning Analyst is responsible for supporting the creation of forecasting and modeling tools, compilation and analysis of market information, incorporation of data sources to develop strategic and business plans, and management of market databases to ensure appropriate strategic and business decisions.
Minimum Training and Education: A Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or quantitative field from an accredited college/ university and three years of relevant experience required; or a Master’s degree (MHA, MHSA, MBA, MPH or relevant degree) and two years experience preferred. One year experience in strategic planning, business development, business intelligence, healthcare consulting experience or related field preferred. Knowledge of healthcare industry and planning. Ability to gather, analyze, synthesize and interpret large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data. Experience in managing databases need to support strategic, business, and other planning activities. Strong communication skills, including oral, written, visual, formal and informal. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. Extensive working knowledge of PC and/or web-based software programs for database support and management. Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines.
