The Associate Director of Information Services will have primary responsibilities for data management, integrity, and reporting within the university’s fundraising database and involved data systems. This includes serving as the lead custodian and steward of the constituent and fundraising data, the primary point of contact for data entry and as such, collaborating with the Records Management Team in its execution of data maintenance and enrichment projects, and data reporting. The Associate Director also promotes and champions the Office of Institutional Advancement’s data health program; works closely with Advancement staff and the Data Records team to ensure internal (IA) and external (non IA) IIT customer service goals are achieved; participates in and / or leads appropriate committees or task forces; plays a key role in the implementation of annual and project plans; and provides leadership in the proper use of IA’s data systems. This position develops reports for others use and ensures data information requests are fulfilled in an accurate and timely manner. It leads and conducts data auditing and enrichment efforts. It also provides guidance to and oversight of data entry activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or similar program with minimum 5 years relevant experience highly preferred; or Associate’s degree in Database Administration, Business Intelligence, and/or Data Analytics with 7+ years relevant experience. - Experience leading multifaceted simultaneous projects required. - Experience working with Blackbaud’s The Raiser’s Edge, Ellucian Banner, or similar CRM / ERP, and / or relational database systems required. - Experience working with Crystal Reports, IBM Cognos, SQL Reporting Services, Tableau/Domo, or similar reporting frameworks / tools required. - Proven experience working in demanding fast-paced environment. - Experience working in non-profit or higher education desired. - Experience working in advancement, development, or fundraising desired. - Experience with object-oriented programming such as Python and VBA.
