This role provides the opportunity to Assist power users across business units with creation of dashboards, data visualizations, and reports as well as train and educate business users on existing and new data architecture solutions. This is a challenging role that creates an opportunity to grow and develop while doing your life's best work.(sm) The Database Analyst/SQL is responsible for gathering requirements for software development and partnering with IT and affected business unites to define test cases and oversees QA/UAT testing and related tasks. This position serves to maintain, optimize, and expand data architecture in order to empower business units with access to data for business planning and decision-making. This individual must have strong consultative, critical thinking and analytic skills with the ability to operate strategically and build effective partnerships across multiple stakeholder groups and the ability to manage ambiguity, risk, and changing direction of projects to meet tight deadlines. Primary Responsibilities: Works with the Database Consultant to:Manage, maintain and monitor data feedsDevelop/maintain standards for database integrity and quality assuranceTroubleshoot and resolve application and data problemsMigrate/convert data from a legacy systemInspect, validate, transform, cleans, and loads data received in a variety of formats to meet quality standards using approved techniquesDevelop QA processes and protocols and conduct regular audits to improve data quality and consistencyDocument and maintain data mappingUtilize advanced data mining techniques to analyze large sets of data
Required Qualifications:Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience 2+ years' experience with relational databases (SQL)2+ years' experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and other advanced business intelligence concepts related to data extraction, transformation, loading, scheduling, etc.Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills with excellent verbal and written communications skills Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) cubesProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)Experience in Health Care Industry Critical Care/Ancillary products and servicesExperience with Great Plains/Sales PadCareers with OptumRx.
