Coordinates, supervises and is accountable for the daily activities of Product Module development team.
Impact of work is most often at the team level.
Assist in Manageing Project Plans, Schedules and cost.
Owns output at Module level.
Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements.
Work is generally limited to team function.
Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion.
Coordinates work activities with other Leads.
Reviews the work of others.
Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems.
identifies and resolves operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment.
Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan.
Product, service or process decisions are most likely to impact individual employees. Customers:
Product Lead will work with project resources to make sure the product module is developed as per specifications, best practices and organization standards and it meets customers needs and expectations
Product Lead reviews the product module development on day to day basis and submits reports to Product Manager on the product Module development progress.
Responsible for the succesfull delivery of the project/product Module Financial:
The Product Lead will align product module plans and specifications and will make sure the Product module is developed with in planned time, cost and quality.Internal Process / Operations:Should have proficiency level of "Fully Proficient" in the following functional areas:
Requirements o Assist in completing the requirements for the product Module as per the strategy and vision.o Identify gaps and areas for improvement and devise methods to close gaps. o Assist in risk identification and risk mitigation plans for the moduleo Contribute to product Module requirements both functional and non-functional
Design:o Contribute to product Techinal & Desgin Specifications o Make sure design can fit to various business models with minimal changes to Product configurationso Product Desgin must adhere to organization standards, best practices and must use standard design patterns as appropriate.o Desgin specifications must be documented as per organization standrads and must be tracebale.o Involve appropriate teams like Arhcitecture team, DBA team, Server and storage team, Network team during the design phase and make sure design meets organization standrads and industry best practices.o Define product acceptance criteria
Developmento Levarage appropriate resources, if required hire appropriate resources, to develop product adhering to the design specifications and organization standards. o Define, contribute and execute the software project plan and cover communications, test plan, acceptance criteria, documents and deliverables in the software project plan. o Responsible for Product development as per the software project plan and specifications.o Review the product during each milestone of development and make sure the deliverables and documents produced are tracebale and adhere to specifications. Identify any deviations and take corrective actions.o Make sure product development is done on time, on budget with desired quality
Testingo Responsible for reviews of software test plan and makes sure they adhere to Organization standards and industry best practices.o Recommends and reviews automation tools used for testingo Responsible for Reviews of results of unit testing and integration testing and takes corrective action required if test results do not adhere to the Quality Indicies of the Organizationo Responsible for the quality standards of the Project developed
Deployment/ Releaseo Reviews all deliverables including documents related to the Product to make sure traceability is available and they meet product design and organization standrardso Reviews Source code management for the product and makes sure it adheres to the software project plan. o Define the release process for the product and makes sure the it is as per the organization standardo Responsible for reviews of Release plan and make sure Release plan is as per organization standards and covers the product release appropriatelyo Adheres to Organization standrads and Communicates and Brings together appropriate resources to make sure Product release is a success o Assists in reolving issues related to specific environments during the release.o Reviews the Release, identifies issues reported and make sure corrective action is taken immediately or in future releases as appropriate to fix the issues.
Project Managemento Manages multiple projects of medium to high complexity o Facilitates team and client meetings effectively o Communicates independently with business partners and stake holders to resolve design issues and negotiate project related items such as project priorities and completion deadlineso Apprises stakeholders on Project status - milestones achieved, risks and mitigations o Works with Architecture & Infrastructure teamsLearning & Development:
Provides technical and team leadership to team members through coaching, mentorship and motivation
Responsible directly for career and performance management of direct reports
Responsible for grievance handling and conflict management
Helps in training needs identification and ensures team undergoes relevant trainingSecondary Responsibilities -
Makes sure team adheres to standards and best practices for product Module development.
Completes Second Level of Technical interviews for candidates
Follows and propagates values and culture of the organization
Participate in milestone audits with SEPG and the project team
Assists in Maintaining knowledge base for projects
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS -Qualifications:
BCA\B.E\B.Tech\M.Tech\MCA\MBA Technical Skills:
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Project
8+ years of experience in software/application/product development.
Familiar with – VS2017, .net, c#, WCF, WWF, Web API, Web service, Distributed application development, client side technologies like Angular JS, JSON, JQuery. Reporting and ETL Concepts and tools.
Management experience required.
Budgeting and project management experience preferred Hands on experience in database optimization and tuning & relational database concepts
Working knowledge of policies, procedures, laws and department functional areas with the ability to produce appropriate reporting and analysis.
Working knowledge of Desgin patterns, developing distributed and web applications, data analysis, business Intelligence or data management and modeling. Strong understanding of Customer objectives and market trends and ability to apply that knowledge to enhance or develop Products that will meet customer objectives.
