This is a challenging role that creates an opportunity to grow and develop while doing your life's best work.(sm) We have a position available for a Business Analyst in our Minnetonka MN office. This person will be responsible for handling intake requests for the Sales Reporting & Analytics team. They will complete basic report requests and handle requirements gathering and documentation. They will also help with Quality Assurance efforts. Primary Responsibilities: Gather and document business requirements Communicate analysis and interpretation to appropriate audience Produce, publish and distribute scheduled and ad-hoc client and operational reports relating to the development and performance of products, processes and technologies Assess reporting results through data investigation, analysis, and evaluation Analyze data and trends and create documentation supporting all of the reports Prepare written analysis and summarize results using graphical representations and professional formatting Ensure that reports support the overall scope of company's business strategies Maintain data integrity and ongoing quality control of delivered reports Work closely with all levels of end users, including executive level staff, to quickly develop reports which will be used to make strategic business decisions Create detailed documentation outlining report criteria and provide recommendations to the requestor based on the results of the report QA reports for not only coding errors and issues, but also make suggestions on data representation Initiate new projects that benefit the goals of the company
Required Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in business / finance including analysis experience with a solid understanding of data management 1+ years of experience in business process analysis and workflow 1+ years of experience with project life cycle management (requirements, design, development, test and implementation) Experience gathering requirements from the client / business and documenting results Intermediate or greater level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel Strong communication skills with experience presenting ideas and solutions to business customers Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business or similar field 1+ years of report development experience utilizing Business Intelligence tools (such as Tableau, QlikView, Micro Strategy, Business Objects or other) Intermediate or greater level of proficiency with Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, Word Healthcare experience Ability to interpret SQL Careers at UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement.
