The Senior Financial Analyst supporting the Global Pricing organization will provide value added analysis and reporting on the financial impact that product pricing decisions have on the organization. The role is an integral part of the team which is helping to drive improved controls, better processes, and enhanced decision support for the Pricing organization with the goal of optimizing company pricing. The position reports to the Finance Manager of Global Pricing. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop a migration plan to report price realization out of the new SAP Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (BICOE) database, working closely with the Pricing Analytics team. Lead the efforts to create training materials and train the broader finance organization on the new tool.
Assist in the creation of a formalized and standardized process to forecast and analyze the Ship from Stock and Credit program, which is how negotiated prices are enacted with Rockwell's channel.
Assist and support our annual list price increase process, through analysis of currency implications, commodity cost changes, inflation assumptions and list and net comparative prices.
Develop, enhance, and maintain quarterly forecasts as it relates to package of values (POVs), rebates, and concessions at the regional and business unit levels. Collaborate with Central FP&A and GFO in creation of monthly causals explaining forecast variances and YoY impacts by region and by business unit.
Assist in leading the efforts to understand concessions globally and their P&L geography. Review and revise the business case for linkage between the approval of a concession in SharePoint and the downstream execution in SAP ensuring the accounting is isolated and works properly. Develop a process to create concession accruals.
Support the implementation of a new pricing optimization tool including working with the businesses to help them understand the analytic capabilities such as margin analysis. Develop a productivity plan in support of the tool for the Pricing organization. Aide in creating the business case for future investment.
Support the Finance Manager of Global Pricing as it relates to the new revenue recognition standards.
Ad-hoc reporting and analysis, as well as special projects to support process improvement activities within the pricing function.
