This position directly supports University Business Intelligence, Data warehousing and improved reporting processes. This lead technical position is directly responsible for maintaining and support all technical Business Intelligence Application Software and supporting systems. This position develops specialized applications, manages or administers the operation of large databases, researches and implements new or specialized technologies, analyzes and creates programming for enterprise level programs.
The work is specialized as it involves creating Web Focus applications and processes for departmental super users, implementing technical solutions by developing applications to access and write reports from the Operational Data Storage (ODS) files.
This position will conduct extensive research and coordination with vendors, users, decision makers to write the specialized applications needed for reporting purposes.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Bachelor Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
3+ years experience implementing enterprise-scale reporting systems, including Tableau, WebFocus, and other data visualization tools.
Working with users in a requirements analysis role
Extensive use of SQL and RDBMS systems (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
Extensive experience with data warehouse implementations
Strong knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts
Demonstrated ability with ETL tools.
Familiarity with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) is a plus.
