This position will support existing university and system-wide administrative applications and will assist in the development and implementation of new or improved applications. Software systems include; student, human resources, finance, financial aid, admission and recruitment, document imaging, resource scheduling and related systems.
The incumbent will work on all phases of information systems development including consultation for project requirements, specification development, process design, application coding and testing, output generation, documentation, training, and implementation of projects requested by university personnel.
The successful candidate must be capable of being a project leader for the management, development and implementation of projects. Other duties will include working with team members to analyze, trouble-shoot, and resolve reported problems, run routine processes to generate reports or data downloads for user departments and test new or enhanced functions of system software applications.

A bachelor’s degree in computer or programming discipline or related field (equivalent training and experience may be considered) and 2-3 years of demonstrated programming experience, preferably in a higher education academic environment.
The incumbent must exhibit an excellent customer service base with the ability to interact positively with internal and external clients through verbal and written communications. The incumbent should be able to organize, manage, and work on multiple project with strong time-management skills.
