This Healthcare Contract Data Analyst II will be responsible for:
Providing analyses related to the negotiation, implementation and ongoing maintenance of contracts, primarily with respect to risk and other alternative payment arrangement.
Supplying financial analyses related to the negotiation, implementation and ongoing maintenance of contracts.
Taking the lead on new projects, functioning independently within a fast-paced environment, and serving as a data advisor as new projects or ad hoc reports are collaboratively being developed.
To qualify you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in business, health care administration, finance, or a closely related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in similar role. One year of experience in a pediatric healthcare setting is preferred. Working knowledge of claims data and risk arrangement methodology is preferred.
Working technical knowledge of coding systems, data types and data structures used to store clinical, demographic, and financial data in healthcare databases
An intermediate to advanced level of analytic competency and the ability to understand and explain complex concepts.
Excellent attention to detail.
The ability to work as part of a team in a matrix environment.
Working knowledge of basic relational database concepts and solid proficiencies with current knowledge of coding practices in either SQL, SAS, SPSS or other related database language syntax.
Familiarity with dimensional data modeling concepts used in data warehousing, business intelligence and business analytics applications.
Knowledge of clinical concepts, terminology and workflow – preferably as they apply to pediatrics.
The ability to interface and effectively communicate issues and results
