California State University San Marcos seeks an Analyst Programmer for their Instructional and Information Technology Service (IITS) department. This position will work closely with campus constituents and IITS team members to design and develop data feeds, scripts, and data integrations for Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. Duties include database administration of campus data reporting systems and campus data sourcing systems, process monitoring and tuning, establishing user access controls, and database security. Additional duties include the development of technical specifications and documentation of the data feeds, integrations, and the BI systems and solutions used by the university. Data sourcing environments include PeopleSoft, open source, SaaS, as well as custom software systems.

Minimum Qualifications include:
Masters level degree in a technology related field or MBA and relevant experience to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position. -OR
Bachelors level degree in a related field with two years of relevant full-time experience to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position. -OR
Associates level degree with five years of relevant full-time experience to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position. -OR
Seven years of relevant full-time experience to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position.
Preferences: Experience or training in the following:
Experience in relational database design and development such as Oracle or MySQL
Experience in database administration
Experience using a database query language such as SQL
Experience or familiarity with PeopleSoft in a higher education environment
Experience writing PeopleSoft Queries
Experience working in higher education
Full-time, probationary positions with benefits.
Salary Range: $4,372 - $9,877/month
Anticipated Hiring Salary: $4,372 - $6,250/month
