Take this opportunity to make a real impact and help us make the health system work better for everyone.As a Business Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for designing and delivering analytics which will drive flawless execution of the Prospective Programs suite of services. The ideal candidate for this position has analytical skills and is interested in developing a suite of reports that will drive enhanced operational performance and identification of outliers and opportunities for improvement. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere on the U.S. East Coast as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Development of reports to monitor operational performance, program compliance and other metrics that demonstrate, and contribute to, program value and outcomesAssist in the development of a system to Intake, track and manage Exceptions requests Work collaboratively with team members to provide oversight of the day to day business operationProvide data to support business decisions and key program policiesCommunicate identified errors/discrepancies/anomalies to management; make recommendations when deficiencies are identifiedPerform additional tasks / responsibilities as assigned or required
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, related field or 7 years equivalent work experienceExpert level of proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL)5+ years of progressive professional experience with emphasis in analytics, program performance monitoring or other analytical functions i.e. data analysis, business intelligence, data mining, data warehousingAdvanced proficiency with MS ExcelDemonstrated presentation skills/reporting data to business leadersDemonstrated intellectual curiosity; Possess investigative and analytical skills with the ability to identify and clearly articulate key risks and issuesSelf-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detailCareers with Optum.
