As part of the Business Intelligence Management Division (BIMD) Clinical Analytics & Reporting team, this position is responsible for supporting clinical data warehouse changes, enhancements and new data structures. This will include ETL system design, development, testing, metadata documentation, and implementation. This position will be critical to building out the clinical data model on OHSU\u2019s instance of the Epic Caboodle Data Warehouse.
Candidates will be working on projects in direct support of the Clinical Analytics and Reporting team, wherein some project will overlap with parallel data warehouse development being performed by adjacent teams. Due to the nature of parallel development, this position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as an acute attention to detail. This position will need to perform scoping and estimating on data warehouse activities and present technical information and solution design proposals in easily understood terms in both verbal and written form.
This position will be developing primarily via the Epic Caboodle Console, Microsoft SQL Server SSIS and SSMS; however duties may extend to IBM Datastage. Candidates will be required to have working knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL. A successful candidate will knowledgeable in data warehousing Key concepts and CDC techniques, having experience creating star schema reporting data structures, including: facts, dimensions, aggregates, slowly-changing dimension, and bridge tables. Preferred candidates will have experience with source to target mapping, data profiling, validation testing, and ER studio. Duties may also extend to developing metadata models (Universes) in Business Objects Information Design Tool.
