This is a great opportunity for a Senior Healthcare IT Project Manager (PM) with healthcare encounter business knowledge to join our Government Solutions team. This is a key role on a project team focused on medical and pharmacy encounter operations. The Senior Healthcare IT PM will be responsible for providing leadership to pharmacy encounter operations functions within a Medicaid enterprise data warehouse. This position will also lead a new project that serves to receive data files from the MMIS vendor and successfully lead the project through the project lifecycle process including the transition to operations. This position will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and execute efforts between various business users, IT Application Support Groups and internal technical team. Position will provide leadership to the project, have business knowledge, and ensure on-time and high quality deliverables. This position is located in our Indianapolis, IN office and requires the ability to travel in the local area. Primary Responsibilities: Manage internal and external coordination and communication of pharmacy encounter operations, including but not limited to: Maintenance of pharmacy encounters, including implementation of new data elements and managing correction file processes Tracking and communication of rejected pharmacy encounters Coordination with OMPP about pharmacy encounter volume and rejected encounters Meeting facilitation and maintain communication with managed care entities, FFS pharmacy benefit manager, and State clientsProvide leadership to a new IT project involving medical encounter data Oversee development and maintenance of the project plan and communication plan Provide leadership to communication with internal and external stakeholders including Indiana FSSA and external vendors including HPE and managed care entities Ensure on time and high quality deliverable timelines are met Conduct regular meetings with internal technical team on progress and strategy Conduct regular meetings with external partners related to specific efforts on project status Serve as a primary resource and subject matter expert related to project efforts Assist in the development and training of any required procedures and policies to ensure understanding in project business requirements across operations Lead efforts around strategy meetings, agenda development, meeting & materials preparation, presentation development Monitor issues and risks, including the development of contingency or mitigation plans Provide weekly project status reporting Lead and support release activity/transition to operations Serve as process expert to identify and approve process changes impacting the project
Required Qualifications: BA / BS degree 5+ years of Project Management experience 4+ years of experience gathering and defining business requirements 2+ years in a client facing role (polished, professional, presentation skills) 3+ years of healthcare experience 3+ years of working within the Agile/Scrum methodology experience Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to communicate diplomatically with colleagues and clients from various functional areas Proactive problem solver and critical thinker with excellent planning, coordination, and organizational skills Proven experience driving change in the operation and proving the success of change management controls Preferred Qualifications:2+ years of experience leading a project management team PMP Certification Familiarity with business intelligence / data warehousing concepts Experience with healthcare medical or pharmacy encounter data Careers with Optum.
