<p>This position serves on HR Operations team as part of the Workforce Data Management - HR Analytics team. The position is the primary data presentation layer designer and developer for HR Analytics. This position will work with HR Analytics and IT team members to design, develop, deploy and support reporting in various technologies like Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) and Tableau. The reporting this position creates and supports will be used to help University leaders and administrative staff identify and analyze various operational and strategic issues—such as organizational planning, engagement risk, and succession planning. The position will work with team members and stakeholders to understand and define the data elements, business rules and metrics necessary to analyze the relevant business questions. This position will work with other technical partners to analyze and structure data in the best formats to answer the questions at hand. This position will study and apply leading data visualization principles to ensure insights can be quickly and easily understood. Reporting will be used to create viable, real-world solutions in a complex educational landscape. From design to delivery the complexity lies in the nuances of the specific fields, the volume of data and working across business lines within the University. In this capacity this position will support local and enterprise-wide analytics for next generation reporting at the University.<br /><br /><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong><br />? Design, document, develop, test and debug reports and dashboards<br />? Maintain and support existing reports and dashboards<br />? Partner with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to deploy reports and dashboards<br />? Analyze and interpret data<br />? Work with team members and stakeholders to understand business needs and business rules<br />? Serve as an analyst resource for HRMS and partner with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) on enterprise-wide HRMS and HR reporting projects<br /><br /><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</strong><br /><em>70% Report and Dashboard Development</em><br />? Design, build, test, and deploy reports and dashboards<br />? Choose the appropriate reporting technology to fit the business need and report design<br />? Assist with dimensional data modeling for the data warehouse and relational design for internal HRMS systems<br />? Develop ad-hoc queries and presentations to support business requirements using appropriate data and toolsets<br />? Implement and maintain user level security for dashboards and reports based on business requirements<br />? Create and maintain functional and technical design specifications<br />? Interact directly with users, reporting analysts, and data analysts to understand requirements and assist in resolution of issues<br />? Anticipate future needs to determine whether an ad-hoc report request can be transformed into an enterprise report<br /><br /><em>20% Production and Operations Support</em><br />? Contribute as a key technical subject matter expert in delivering improvements to the data and analytics strategy, processes, technical architecture, and design of subject areas and user interfaces<br />? Partner with OIT in the maintenance of the OBIEE infrastructure with high standards of performance, security and reliability<br />? Assist with other supported reporting tools as needed<br />? <p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong><br />? BA/BS degree<br />? Two years of work experience in the areas of reporting analysis and development with a related BA/BS degree or six years of work experience in the areas of reporting analysis and development with an unrelated degree<br />? Experience with data analysis, modeling, design and documentation<br />? Experience in developing reports and/or dashboards with reporting tools like Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE), Business Objects, Tableau, etc.<br />? Demonstrated ability to provide innovative approach to solving problems<br />? Proficiency in SQL development<br />? Ability to communicate technology concepts effectively with technically proficient and non-technically proficient individuals<br />? Excellent written and oral communication skills<br />? Effective customer service and interpersonal skills<br />? Excellent organizational and time management skills<br /><br /><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong><br />?
