As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for assembling reports that measure clinical outcomes, utilization, and network performance and methodology levers. You will interface with business, compliance, and regulatory affairs in the New Mexico Medicaid plan to meet its contractual requirements. Your passion for performance and attention to detail can fuel your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities: Compile, collate, and validate data for contractual reporting from multiple sources and preparing it for state submission Coordinate the collection of internal attestations for executive review and interface with executives to submit attestations to government agencies Perform comparative analysis between data sets looking for data trends and data abnormalities and write a summary on the trends in the data Assesses, interpret, analyze and track customer needs and requirements Review the analysis and interpretation of others work Communicate analysis and interpretation to appropriate audience Assist with bringing report projects to completion by contributing to reporting requirement gathering, development, and documentation Develop, run, analyze, and modify queries to meet business and contractual needs Develop and support relationships with our health plan and State business partners in support of meeting State and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid goals and objectives
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 2+ years of experience in a coordinator or analyst role OR 1+ years of experience with performing data analytics, either from educational study or professional experience Detail oriented Strong organizational skills At least an intermediate level of proficiency working with MS Excel including formulas, calculations, charts, graphs, etc. Ability to communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to clients and the business in writing and verbally Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and / or inaccurate data Strong verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated to prioritize work on multiple complex assignments Ability to work successfully in an ever-changing, priority driven environment Ability to learn quickly and produce high-quality work Ability to work successfully in a team Preferred Qualifications:Experience performing business analysis; data analysis; gathering requirements; analyzing regulatory documents to discern business requirements Experience in the healthcare insurance industry preferred Beginner level proficiency with SQL, SAS and / or other statistical programs. Working knowledge of relational databases, database structures Two or more years of experience working in a corporate environment Experience working with large data sets Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
