Posting Summary: The Department of Medicine, Division of General, Geriatric, Palliative and Hospital Medicine seeks candidates for the position of Intermediate Administrative Coordinator. This position provides a high level of advanced administrative support to assigned section(s) within the Division of General, Geriatric, Palliative and Hospital Medicine. This includes the Section Head, Operations Managers and all Section faculty. Position is responsible for Outlook calendar maintenance; pre- and post-travel coordination; faculty; management of promotion and tenure; special projects; maintenance of up-to-date licensures and curricula vitae. In addition this role provides planning and logistical support for meetings and special events.
Qualified applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of four years of administrative support experience. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required. Proficiency in Excel is also required. Bachelor's degree and four years of administrative support experience is preferred. Experience with leading and managing projects is preferred as well as experience in Database Applications, UVA Integrated Systems, and University Business Intelligence (UBI).
