This position will serve as a member of the School of Dental Medicine's financial team, and will provide a wide range of administrative and logistical support to the CFO's Dean's office including:
● Financial management duties, such as assisting with budget development, expenditure planning, monitoring revenue and expenditure patterns and analyzing trends, and reconciling accounts. ● Preparing accounting transactions such as revenue and expenditure transfers, budget revisions, reimbursement requests, etc. in State, Research Foundation and UB Foundation funding sources. ● Assist with account maintenance/account set-up. ● Preparing various statistical analyses and reports as needed. ● Preparing financial statements for various Post Grad programs ● Using Quickbooks to record receivables, disbursements, payroll and quarterly entries. ● Prepare documentation for external auditors. ● Special projects as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Proficient in Microsoft applications with strong Excel skills. 1 year of accounting experience required. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work in a team environment.
Proficient in Quickbooks and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition. Familiar with SUNY accounting funding sources such as State, Research Foundation, and UB Foundation. Familiar with PCI credit card regulations. Cost accounting or auditing experience is a plus. 1 to 3 years accounting experience preferred.
