CU Medicine is dedicated to providing healthcare and administrative support to the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine’s nearly 3,000 providers. We are seeking a highly motivated Healthcare Program Manager to join our team and provide leadership support to the Medicaid Supplemental Plan Amendment/Upper Payment Limit (UPL) Program.
The Program Manger will work under the direction of the Associate Medical Director and will be responsible for the coordination and management of any/all projects and tasks related to the Medicaid Supplemental Plan Amendment/Upper Payment Limit (UPL) Program. The individual in this position will ensure all obligations assigned by Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Finance (HCPF) are satisfied to qualify for supplemental Medicaid funding regarded as vital to the Practice. Essential duties of the Program Manager include but are not limited to:
Oversee implementation and tracking of supplemental payments and their application toward Medicaid-focused initiatives and resources.
Plan, manage and provide hands-on support of numerous projects involving multiple tasks among enterprise business groups; including CU Medicine, CU School of Medicine departments (SOM), SOM Dean’s Office and affiliate hospitals.
Manage and coordinate work with governmental agencies (HCPF) related to program participation and reporting initiatives.
Oversee clinical program development and deployment throughout Colorado, partnering with rural and frontier medical sites, Federally Qualified Health Centers, Denver Health Medical Center, and other entities that could be locations for outreach of clinical services.
Monitor and report on project status to numerous stakeholders via regular and structured communication, inclusive of formal presentations.
Develop project definitions, plans, and scopes of work while maintaining standards for quality, performance, functionality, and cost.
Review of all deliverables specified in the project definition, inclusive of issue identification and clearly stated recommendations for resolution.
Manage deliverables and ensure accuracy of assigned Business Intelligence and Decision Support units.
Create project management (PM) documents, proposals, schedules, charters, etc.
Perform other duties and assist with other tasks as assigned by leadership
Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience with emphasis on demonstrated project management success. Strong preference will be given to candidates with prior healthcare services experience. PMP certification is highly desired. Must have the ability to see the "big picture" while still maintaining appropriate attention to details. High level verbal and written communication skills are essential to success. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word MS Project required. Experience with process improvement methodologies desirable. Ideal candidate will be able to multi-task and successfully prioritize workload. Must be a resourceful self-starter.
