Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times, greeting members and guests with a smile and eye contact immediately upon their arrival, using their name or acknowledging them, and thanking them for their business. Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities. Plays a vital role in enriching the community by participating in community service organizations and/or Credit Union sponsored events, on an annual basis. Identifies and acts upon credit union information trends through thought leadership Understands and navigates organizational roles and related information needs in order to provide the right, actionable information to the right people at the right time, regardless of request source. Develops and maintains an informational delivery system that integrates into the daily routine of the credit union. Responds to the various departments as it relates to their analytical needs while maintaining balance with organizational objectives. Remains current with evolving Business Intelligence (BI) technologies, trends, and applications with an emphasis on how others in the financial services industry are utilizing and NOT utilizing information. Works with security staff to ensure BI tools and deliverables adhere to Credit Union information security policies and directives. Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Bachelors degree in MIS, business, or similar degree is required (equivalent work experience may substitute for degree). Certifications are helpful, but do not replace proven experience. 8+ years progressive experience working in a large, complex technical environment, supporting information management, delivery, cultivation, and warehousing systems. Preference will go to those with financial institution experience. Experience and/or knowledge of working in an environment with key processes controls such as change control, process tracking, information verification, and data integrity validation. Ability to make informed decisions based on knowledge of various interrelated systems, and analysis of data relationships. Ability to work independent of supervision. Strong project management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to coordinate detailed tasks and timelines, and ability to follow an assigned project though the system development life cycle. (i.e., planning, analysis, implementation, and integration/testing). High level of approachability and interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of the company in a professional and effective manner to address requests, interpret requirements, define activities of the BI department, and re-prioritize internally. Calm demeanor is critical, as communication may be at times of duress. Understands and executes upon the direction and expectations of the organization. Ability to work with highly confidential information in a discretionary manner. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively and efficiently resolve problems. Experience working in 3rd party vendor management and service providers. Ability to work with and be responsible for equipment valued between $50,000 and $5,000,000. Must be bondable.
