We are seeking a Business Analyst in our Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Group. This position is located at our headquarters in Atlanta, GA.
The BI and Analytics Team is responsible for supporting the current and developing needs of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement by expanding the BI and analytics toolsets and developing new analytical models to turn data into actionable insights.
This role will support the development, delivery and support of tools and analytics initiatives that enable self-service capabilities for end users. The candidate will serve as a link between the data platform team(IT), business intelligence analysts and business partners. The ideal candidate is a skilled leader with experience in BI or analytics. They must also have base understanding of current BI and analytical software programs and offer the perfect blend of technical depth and a solid understanding of the business and how to measure it accurately.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Work across organization functions and teams to understand and address common reporting concerns through researching and implementing functionality enhancements, process changes, or through user education.
Help to identify and develop innovative tools for enhanced analysis or data presentation to improve decision making and performance.
Analyze the data within the system to improve data accuracy by identifying problems and working with the necessary group(s) to correct.
Interpret analysis results to provide timely, accurate and concise summaries that drive continuous improvement and present analysis and recommendations at various levels of the organization.
Provide ongoing training and support to end users on system functionality, data model and adherence.
Demonstrate the skills and knowledge to establish and manage timelines, project priorities and handle multiple/concurrent projects. Maintain a sense of accountability and responsibility.
Responsible for working with all levels throughout the organization in order to gather and document the organizational BI needs.
Research new technology and develop business cases to support business intelligence goals and objectives. Provide BI team with up-to-date and accurate information in regards to BI best practices, trends and developments.
Ability to query data comfortably to provide information requested by business users as needed.
What You Will Need:
BI or data analytics experience or data analytics internship experience
Ability to query and analyze large data sets.
What Will Put You Ahead?
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics or Statistical area.
Experience in procurement/ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, etc.
Skills in SQL, R, Python, or other coding language.
