The Associate Director, Growth Analytics & Reporting will play a direct and active role in helping Optum to increase its focus on driving and achieving overall growth objectives. Primary Responsibilities:Serve as a thought leader, mentor and advocate for best practices concerning Growth analytics and reporting Lead cross - functional team to define and design renewals process and reporting Standardize and create replicable renewals process for data aggregation, tracking, reporting, etc. Lead creative approaches to problem solving, as well as the development of quality deliverables with critical Business Intelligence capabilities that enable efficient operations, intelligent decision making and targeted business growth strategies Maintain relationships with Growth Market and Business leaders and their teams Proactively develop and maintain a pipeline of multiple and concurrent reporting and analytical projects Leverage enterprise resources, including customer and sales data warehouses and the Data / Reporting teams, to ensure high quality deliverables Drive quality, standardization and simplification of business intelligence solutions across Markets Respond to change and lead multiple projects simultaneously with minimal direction Seek out operational efficiencies, and improve capabilities in support of Optum business activities Manage and optimize analyst workload, working to best serve the Growth Market and Business leaders Serve as a team lead to provide day - to - day supervision, development, mentoring and coaching to staff Sales Reporting - Collect, evaluate, and communicate sales information to support the sales teams and improve sales productivity; prepare both standardized and customized reports / presentations Sales Analysis - Develop, prepare, and communicate sales variance, trend, and other actionable sales analysis to improve sales productivity; provide appropriate business commentary Budgeting and Forecasting - Support both the Growth Office and the Businesses to develop sales budgets, forecasts and pipelines, and to measure / communicate progress towards those goals Consulting - Consult with sales leaders and other teams to improve sales process and effectiveness Satisfy ad hoc reporting and analysis requests
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree 10+ years of experience defining, developing, and delivering strategic, data - driven reporting and analytical solutions to help drive business growth Proven expertise with reporting, analytical and data strategies within in a large, matrixed organization Technical proficiency in reporting and analytical tools such as Business Objects, Tableau, SAS, etc. Consultative skills, evidenced by the ability to influence C - Level business and Growth leaders Strong leadership abilities, including an assertive (yet diplomatic) personality, a great attitude and ability to lead people effectively through change Experience consulting with sales leaders and other teams to improve sales process Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree Ability to present and explain information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and promotes understanding and consensus building Ability to lead, influence and motivate others, evidenced by successful leadership of cross - disciplinary, virtual teams in a collaborative fashion Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skillsCareers with Optum.
