Role Description: The Office of Human Resources is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to be responsible for scoping the development and enhancement of software tools needed to enhance efficiency of HR workflows and communication between OHR and the stakeholder groups it serves. Reporting to the Director of HR Analytics and Technology, the Senior BSA will participate in all aspects of requirements definition for changes to existing systems and the scoping of replacements for legacy systems that need to be retired.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with key stakeholders to analyze business processes and system needs. Perform fit/gap analysis and research of in-house, third-party or custom solutions to make objective recommendations for IT solutions based on industry best practices.
Draft systems specifications detailing the logic, configuration and security requirements to be implemented and perform supporting configuration steps. Use knowledge of workflow management systems and software development best practices to identify and implement solutions to meet business objectives and support emerging priorities.
Collaborate with outside vendors, other analysts, and developers to provide Tier II+ production and reporting support for enterprise applications, including researching and recommending resolution options to ensure systems remain operational and data integrity is upheld within applications.
Serve as resource to senior management, project managers, and business systems analysts on areas of product and/or business expertise. Monitor technology and product forums, blogs, and webinars to remain informed about the product roadmap. Develop new business analysis, technology, and business knowledge areas.
This is a term position for one year.

Union: 00 - Non Union, Exempt or Temporary
BA/BS (or equivalent experience) required. A minimum of 7+ years related experience. Strong knowledge of human resources information systems, business process analysis and requirements definition/documentation.
The Senior Analyst should have a strong background in the following areas: Working knowledge and good understanding of data flows between assets and how to define requirements for ETL and increased connectivity between products. Knowledge of People Soft strongly preferred. Working knowledge of SQL queries and of business intelligence and data visualization tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, conflict management and organizational skills required. Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills. Must have proven ability to initiate and manage multiple tasks, projects and people under competing deadlines and shifting priorities. Ability to facilitate meetings and to develop and deliver presentations and report out to senior leadership. Ability to create and execute test plans. Ability to adapt quickly to a complex, customized systems environment
