The main focus of this position is the planning, leadership, facilitation and implementation of reporting solutions for the Clinic and Hospital Partners joining OHSU. The initial focus will be the Tuality hospital and clinics transition of workflows and data from Cerner to OHSU Epic. This is a senior position and will have primary responsibility for leading and coordinating the design and implementation of the Tuality reporting transition. The reporting solutions will primarily be based on current OHSU solutions and in particular will leverage what was done for the Mid-Columbia implementation on OHSU Epic. This position will interact and collaborate with all levels of healthcare Users at Tuality and OHSU, and IT service providers. The position requires strong project management experience in a healthcare setting as well as excellent communication and strong technical knowledge of Business Intelligence practices in a healthcare environment.
Three years or more paid work experience as a Project Leader managing and implementing information system projects.
Must have ten years of cumulative paid working experience in the information technology field; OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associates degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelors degree.
One year of relevant paid work experience may be substituted for two
years of graduate study in information systems or related field.
Successful candidates must show that they have significant organizational skills and can lead projects from conception, schedule, design, testing, through implementation
Minimum of three years experience planning and leading projects to successful on-time implementations.
Minimum three years paid work experience as a Senior Systems Application Analyst (or equivalent classification) preferably in a medical organization gathering and defining requirements and leading clinical projects.
Minimum three years data analysis and data profiling experience with respect to identifying and defining source data using SQL or data profiling tools
Experience with facilitating User meetings and working sessions to identify and document requirements.
Experience creating technical documentation of reports and data models.
Experience with utilizing star schema data stores as the basis for report development.
Experience with facilitating/leading testing/QA efforts on BI projects.
Knowledge of Healthcare Clinical Data, processes, procedure and workflows.
Understanding/knowledge of clinical quality measures.
Project leadership using standard project management tools and processes.
Ability to use BI reporting tools to develop reports to support operational and analytical information requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Experience with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and procedures.
Ability to read and explain a data model and explain the difference between a normalized relational model and a dimensional data model.
Ability to read, write and maintain SQL Code.
Ability to gather and document business requirements.
Ability to plan and manage a project to a successful on-time completion.
