The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Director of Information Systems and Technology who will be responsible for strategic and managerial oversight of all facets of information systems and technological services within the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences and the College of General Studies.
The incumbent will build collaborative partnerships with School leadership, faculty, and staff members to understand information and technology needs. He/she will develop recommendations and successfully implement effective solutions. The incumbent will create and implement an IT plan and appropriate policies in support of the School's strategic goals and initiatives utilizing a collaborative and transparent approach. The candidate will supervise a team of systems analysts, business intelligence analysts, and technical support staff with the goal of effectively utilizing human and technological resources and proving exceptional customer service to all constituents. He/she will serve as a liaison, advocate, and partner for computing and related technologies in the School with central University offices.

6-9 years experience
Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position
8-10 years experience in a related technical area preferred. Must provide evidence of demonstrated managerial success within a technical field. Must be able to effectively manage the information systems and technological services staff in a collaborative/team environment. Must have a thorough understanding of current computing technology and future trends, especially network-based systems and systems of technology-based instruction. Must be able to foster effective relations with customers from diverse backgrounds. Must be able to provide leadership in application of computer systems for research, instruction, and administration.
