You will be a primary contributor in developing, testing and deploying key data warehouses, data marts and will be working with cutting edge technology. This role will prepare you for significant career growth.Primary Responsibilities: Gather and analyze business requirements Architect and design Data Warehouse infrastructure and solutions Develop technical specifications and design documents Develop, enhance, and integrate Data Warehouses/Data Marts and Business Intelligence Solutions Test Data Warehouses/Data Marts Deploy and maintain Data Warehouses/Data Marts Working with Operations and Product Development staff to support applications/processes to facilitate the effective and efficient implementation/migration of new clients' healthcare data through the Optum Impact Product Suite Processing and analyzing health care data using Optum Impact standard warehouse methodologies and software Reviewing and analyzing client data via quality control processes for anomalies or other issues which could compromise product functionality Communicating data issues and discoveries with clients during the implementation process via written documentation, conference calls and occasional on-site meetings Documenting issues, resolutions and programming steps pertaining to the implementation process and client data Working with team members on managing the data implementation process from start to finish for clients Act as a data consultant to our Impact Suite clients during implementation Participates in the development of business strategy Supports Optum Support Desk as a functional SME for Impact/Symmetry Serve as a thought leader for Optum business and our clients Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them May lead functional or segment teams or projects
Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience5+ years of Data Analysis experience5+ years of Professional IT management experience in a large, enterprise environment (Fortune 200 company) 5+ years of experience with health insurance, Impact/Symmetry products, health care or pharmaceutical industry data 5+ years of programming experience using SQL, SAS Base and SAS Macro 5+ years experience querying, gathering and analyzing data Preferred Qualifications: Health care industry experience Project Management experience Client Facing experience Claims knowledge with Medicaid and Medicare SQL experience Knowledge and awareness of standard practices for quality control and audit trailsCareers with Optum.
