This individual will be responsible for designing and developing data warehouse solutions with a team of about 5 to 10 resources. The ETL Developer will work on-site and utilize IBM's Inphosphere DataStage and PL/SQL for creating enterprise-wide implementations. This position reports to the Data Warehouse Architect.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Individual Contributor, works closely with business and technical teams to understand, document, design and code ETL processes.
, source mapping documents and models into solutions.
* Design, develop, test, optimize and deploy stored procedures and related functions.
* Help mentor other staff members to develop a strong ETL Team.
* Work with Data Warehouse Architect to determine Data Migration Strategy
Requires: Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline required. Advanced degree preferred.
Role Specific Competencies: - Experience with ETL tools such as IBM information server suite products. Knowledge of advanced ETL concepts including web services. - Solid technical abilities, analytical skills and application knowledge - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Understanding for parallel processing - Experience mentoring more junior staff. - Knowledge of backup and recovery. - Knowledge of debugging techniques. - Understanding and writing PL/SQL programs - Understands how metadata is used by various tools. - Understands concepts of slowly changing dimensions, bridge tables, and factless fact tables. Associate Data Warehouse ETL Developer (salary up to 79K): Required: A minimum of two years of experience in an IT environment with some experience with data warehouses required.
Data Warehouse ETL Developer (salary up to 91K): Required: A minimum of three years of experience with ETL methodologies, business intelligence and data warehousing principles and architecture including the concepts, design and usage of data warehouses and data marts as well as the ability to write optimized SQL to Query databases. Database development experience is also required.
Senior Data Warehouse ETL Developer (salary up to 108K):
Required: A minimum of five years of experience with a thorough understanding of ETL methodologies, business intelligence and data warehousing principles and architectures including the concepts, design and usage of data warehouses and data marts as well as the ability to write optimized SQL to query databases. Database development as well as performance testing on information server suites experience required.
