The Project Director will manage and support Data Integration support (ETL) initiatives to help strategize Data Integration roadmap of existing Data assets. Lead Data Integration/ETL (Extract Transform & Load) project team of 3-4 people to design & develop solutions to transform legacy ecosystem to the next-gen future state architecture as part of NYU IT strategic initiatives. Setup Data Governance principles, and frameworks in critical areas of focus including Master Data Management, Reference Data Management & Data Quality. The Project Director will also develop BI strategies and solutions utilizing a wide range of products, architecting, designing, implementing, and delivering solutions utilizing technologies such as OBIEE & Tableau. Develop solutions to implement complex data warehousing solution elements with a primary focus on emerging industry concepts like Data Vault and advanced Data Modeling technologies.
Required Education: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

Required Experience: 12+ years of experience.
Preferred Experience: Prior experience in the Higher-Ed industry preferred.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Data Governance - Concrete experience with and a wide base knowledge of general Data Governance principles, methodologies, and frameworks is a critical area of focus for the position including Master Data Management and Data Quality. Business Intelligence - Deep understanding of general BI strategies and solutions utilizing a wide range of products. Personal hands-on experience architecting, designing, implementing, and delivering solutions utilizing technologies from Oracle OBIEE & Tableau is a must. Enterprise Data Warehousing - Understanding and personal hands-on application of both 'bottom-up' and 'top-down' data warehousing architectures is required. The ability to conversationally discuss detailed aspects of complex data warehousing solution elements with a primary focus on emerging industry concepts and technologies. Full understanding of ETL/ELT is required especially dealing with very large volumes of data. Data architecture and modeling experience implementing proper data structures for an ETL solution for Data Warehousing environment is required. Full comprehension of SQL, cardinality, levels of granularity, normalized vs de-normalized, handling of slowly changing dimensions, auditing, database and tool optimization techniques, Change Data Capture and other such data architecture best practices is a must. Experience designing integrations solutions moving data sets of all sizes connecting File Systems, OLTP, OLAP, Data Lakes, No SQL & Big Data environments using batch, request/response & real-time streaming paradigms. Advanced Data modeling techniques & familiarity with Data Vault Modeling.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Prior experience designing integration data hubs is a plus. Experience designing & setting up Data as a Service Layer. Experience with large-scale software implementation (high transaction volume and high-availability concepts). Business value focused mindset balancing tactical and strategic needs.
