The Tableau and SQL Developer will be responsible for creating Tableau-based reporting/dashboard solutions for internal and external users. The successful candidate will be able to gather client and company business needs and translate those into custom, interactive Tableau visualizations. He/She will be able to strategize and document data needs, integration needs, automation needs, create reports, create dashboards, and monitor/optimize performance. He/She will serve as the Tableau subject matter expert for the company and will aid in training and mentoring analytics and reporting staff.
He/She will design and implement proof of concept solutions and create advanced BI visualizations, develop and support scalable enterprise databases and ETL solutions, produce ad-hoc Business Objects Web Intelligence reports as needed, develop impactful presentations and documents and communicate complex topics to team through both written and oral communications.
Responsible for the management and administration of multiple IT Functions, or managing general operations which are not specific to one IT Function
This is a “hands on” position requiring the candidate to be able to work with applicable technologies to develop and maintain databases across the organization, while ensuring high levels of data availability.
Design, develop, test, tune, and implement database objects and any supporting T-SQL scripts using Microsoft SQL Server. This includes but is not limited to stored procedures, views, functions, data manipulation scripts and ETL.
Design databases and queries to optimize performance and scalability.
Design, develop and upgrade databases, ETLs, schemas, automation of data quality rules, naming conventions, optimized queries and indexing.
Maintain and enhance the database schema and ETL processes related to the company’s Data Warehouse.
Responsible for validating data, performing cross reference checking between source data and outputs.
Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases.
Maintain technical documentation as system modifications are made.

Experience working in a Data Warehouse environment.
Excellent SQL skills
Excellent oral and written communications skills

Must be comfortable with advanced Excel data manipulation.
Experience creating ad-hoc Business Objects Web Intelligence reports
Experience gathering and refining requirements, interviewing business users to understand and document data requirements
Strong attention to detail, documenting business and technical requirement based on user interviews
Experience with ETL tools and other solutions
Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
Capable of configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters as necessary
Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it
Ability to operate in a pressured and dynamic environment
