The Requirements Analyst will be responsible for the gathering, analysis, documentation and change control of IT applications, systems and business process requirements.
A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
Demonstrated experience in requirements analysis;
Ability to analyze problems and provide resolutions;
Ability to express oneself clearly in both verbal and written communication;
Eliciting requirements including identifying requirements from various sources including project documentation (e.g., the project charter or definition), business process documentation, JAD (joint application design) sessions, and stakeholder interviews;
Analyzing requirements including determining whether the stated requirements are clear, complete, consistent and unambiguous; and resolving any apparent conflicts;
Documenting requirements in various forms such as a summary list, use cases, user stories, or process specifications;
Work directly with customers analyzing their business needs, concepts and processes;
Serve as the liaison between the customer and technical teams;
Establish change management control for business and system requirements; and
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
A bachelor's degree or a master's degree in computer science, or a related technical/IT field;
Demonstrated cumulative related IT experience;
Experience with UML (Unified Modeling Language);
Experience with data modeling tools;
Ability to translate user needs into requirement documents; and coordinate testing, implementation, and training for these requests with the technical team and other functional team members;
Ability to identify and recommend new processes or business practices for the purpose of streamlining business processes (internal and external);
Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Visio;
Capable of independently researching, analyzing, evaluating and documenting issues, products and solutions; and
Experience working directly with customers in order to understand their business needs and to ensure proposed solutions do not conflict with established business practices.
